  BEWARE! I was in this group for about five months in 2023. They went by AWSOM church at the time but changed it to Fellowship church. This group tries to strip you of your identity by making you disregard friendships, college, and family members so you only rely on them. Asking questions is frowned upon. I was encouraged to leave the group when I asked who made the Bible studies and was accused of “doubting the church”. They eventually—indirectly—encourage you to move into a “sister” or “brother house,” depending on your gender, where the members live together to pay rent and pay a contribution to the church of $100 a week. Blind obedience and submission to everything they ask is expected. This isn’t a healthy environment!

  WATCH OUT FOR THIS GROUP! They are now going by AWSOM Church and their leader XXXXXX XXXXXX was previously affiliated with the ICOC/ICC, which is now being sued for covering up sexual abuse of children. They encourage their members to drop out of school in order to have better control over them, and they send them recruiting on college campuses.

  Life way is a cult, it took me years to get out of my depression from this church. BE aware visiting, learn the signs of cults, it will save your life.

  Please be aware of this group. They are now called Elevate Church. It seems they are always changing the name of their church to avoid the negative reviews or reputation they have brought up upon themselves. James 3: There will be false prophets and teachers. Those who are teachers or prophets will be judged more strictly. Remember the only one who is worthy to judge and condemn is Christ. The only one who you need to confess your sins is Christ. The only one who knows your heart and walk in the Lord is Christ. They lure you by putting shame and guilt on you as a sinner and question your works as a disciple of God. They really didn’t know my walk and Christ and they condemned me and shamed me in front of other sisters. I confided in these sisters to open up to them and found to only use what I told them to use against me. One sister completely shunned me without any explanation and denied she ignored me when I was at my weakest. The pastor lives in a mansion and yet how are there no programs and or a building to provide aid to those in the church community? They are not transparent with the funds they collect from tithe. The elders could not explain where and how funds are distributed in the church. The elders of this group are looked up as the only “true disciples” and are the only ones who are saved. Do not confess your sins to anyone you don’t really know in this group or they will quickly use it against you. Again the only one who you confess your sins to is Christ. He is the only one worthy to judge you and condemn you, no one else. They are not following the word of God. I rebuke the evilness these leaders are ensuing by preying on the vulnerable and the weak! Shame on you!!! Those who judge and condemn will be judge more strictly! James 3

  This church hides behind the facade of Bible studies and doing everything for God. Far from it, they force you into believing the same things they do and doing the same things they do. If you don't do what they say, they yell at you. Their leaders don't really care about you, they just want results and numbers. There is also spiritual and mental abuse. They yell at you for every tiny thing you do wrong and you don't learn anything from it cuz they're yelling at you. Mental abuse as in I can't handle pressure then they pull out these scriptures to convince you to handle pressure like they do. SImply ridiculous

  This church is not a church is a cult. My daughter is brainwashed by the leaders. In two years she had a bad change. She was a responsible university student and living a normal life. She held a job and had a goal in life. Now she left school and her job and doesn’t communicate with anyone in her family or friends. I am afraid for her life. The last time I saw her, she looked really down. She doesn’t even let us know where she lives with the rest of the girls that this cult is using as recruits to bring more innocent and vulnerable people to continue brainwashing them.

  Lifeway church has definitely impacted my life. They have taught me not only how to have a great relationship with God, but also how to turn to God in every aspect of my life.
  
  Sure there are ups and downs in this church, but they sincerely do care about people. No body is perfect which is the reason why we need God. Look in the Bible and you will see the greatest leaders go through rough and great times only to be able to bring us the good news.
  
  If you want a deeper understanding of Biblical scriptures and what God's will and aspirations for your life is then this church will not only provide that but challenge you to change to become a good follower and leader for God.
  
  You can't put a rating and rely on another's experience on God, but this is my encouragement.
